Gleaners Volunteer Day

Due to a limited amount of volunteers, this event is for current BOMA Members only. Check back on our Events Page for other Philanthropic events that are open to non-members as well.

Preparing to volunteer:

1. Each volunteer will need to register at the link above. This is how you will receive the confirmation information and email reminder and also how you’ll sign the volunteer waiver electronically.
2. Please review the volunteer map for more information about where to park and check in once you arrive. Volunteers will enter at Door #5. Parking space on-site is limited. Please consider carpooling if that is appropriate for your group.
   

1. Please arrive at the designated arrival time (15 minutes before the start of your shift) to ensure that we have time to get you checked in and trained.
2. Please note: Closed-toe shoes (sneakers, boots, etc.) are required when volunteering.
3. Masks are optional for all volunteers, guests, and visitors at Gleaners. 

What to expect during your shift:

• Volunteers will be loading cars, directing traffic, and bagging bulk food items for our food pantry drive-thru distribution
• This project is indoors, with some positions outdoors directing traffic. The garage doors will be open on both ends of the building so the chute will be warmer in the summer and colder in the winter. Please dress for the weather.
• This project does require repetitive light lifting (think loading your groceries in the car) and bending, but some accommodations can be made. Please let us know prior to signing up or when you arrive if you need light-duty accommodations.
