    Nearly 40 members came together on June 2nd for our Annual Indy Parks Clean-up Day.  Members mulched the playgrounds, cleaned up debris, pulled weeds, and painted benches and shelters.  The historic Garfield Park is hidden gem in the city of Indianapolis.  We were happy to help make it shine.  See photos...

    Membership Engagement Coordinator - APPLY NOW

    BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) of Indiana is seeking its first Membership Engagement Coordinator who will play a vital role in engaging BOMA members and supporting networking opportunities, advocacy, and cutting-edge education across the state of Indiana. As the Membership Engagement Coordinator, you’ll be making a large impact as part of a small, passionate team. You’ll be coordinating member events, managing basic digital marketing, and serving as one of the association’s friendly faces for membership engagement and support.

    This entry-level, full-time nonprofit coordinator role is based in Indianapolis (in-person). It is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the nonprofit space or gain additional skills while making a huge impact.
    Here's what a day as the Membership Engagement Coordinator might look like:

    • Assisting the 300 commercial real estate manager and owner members with accessing their member benefits (advocacy, networking, and education)
    • Supporting the Executive Director in the development of activities to increase member engagement opportunities and retain and grow new members
    • Managing the logistics of BOMA membership events from beginning to end, including working with external venues and vendors, managing digital and onsite registration, and developing promotional marketing and communication
    • Under the direction of the Executive Director, coordinating the administrative needs of new members
    • Using social media, email marketing, and the website to communicate opportunities and association updates with BOMA members
    • Managing annual membership directory content

As an integral part of a growing association based in and serving Indiana, you’ll be part of an exciting time in BOMA’s history.
    • You sincerely enjoy interacting with a variety of people. As the Membership Engagement Coordinator, you will be interacting with a variety of people, including members, vendors, sponsors, partners, and more. Our Membership Engagement Coordinator will be able to build relationships in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable initiating communication.
    • You value great customer service and supporting people and staff. Your primary mission is to help members gain access to their member benefits. A great Membership Engagement Coordinator will provide excellent customer service and work patiently to help our members understand member benefits, programs, registration process, and the opportunities available to them. It’s important that you have a sincere passion to help others.

    These are things we are looking for from our Membership Engagement Coordinator:

    • Experience providing high-quality membership engagement or customer service
    • Comfort with technology, specifically social media and Microsoft Office
    • Ability and eagerness to be trained in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse individuals, including our members, event space staff, partners, and others

    Salary $42,500 plus benefits

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $42,500.00 per year

    Schedule:

    • Monday to Friday

    Hello Sarah,

    The Elevator Code Committee has completed the review of the new / proposed adoption of ASME 17.1 – 2016 Elevator Safety Code.  The circled part in the attachment of the new proposed code will cost building owners and I thought BOMA should be aware.  This new code should go up for adoption this year with I’m assuming effective date January 1, 2023.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

    We are pleased to announce Capital Center has advance to the North Central Regional TOBY competition under the Renovated Category.  Congratulations to Erin Jones and her entire Zeller team!

    Congratulations to Tom McKneight and his team at Robinson Park for their hard work on submitting a local TOBY (The Outstanding Building of the Year).  Judges provided feedback to set him up for a great run in the North Central Region Competition.  Market Tower scored an amazing 98.62% and will be competing in the 500,000 to 1 Million Square Feet category.  Thank you to our judges Renae Polizzi of Amerimar, Kim Magness of Hertz Investments, and Nicole Langdon of Colliers.

    What a week it's been at our nation's capital!  We had several members head to Washington D.C. for the BOMA International Winter Business Meeting.  While not a typical Capitol Hill visit with numerous visits with our representatives, we were ecstatic to meet with one office to discuss workforce development, carbon reduction initiatives, and a loan cap expansion of energy efficient upgrades.  See our talking points.
