Indy Parks Cleanup

BOMA Indy Philanthropic Day Benefiting 

Frederick Douglass Park is in need of volunteers! 

• This park is spread out well so we can safely spread out into 5 smaller project groups after the initial meet up and overview (about ½ mile from one side of park to the other project zone). Projects include: 
• • Restriping / paint lines in parking lot (est. 4 people)
  • Repaint est. 8 – 10 newly replaced boards on benches near basketball court (est. 3 – 4 people)
  • Scrape and repaint est. 30 picnic tables in 2 different shelter areas on opposite sides of the park (divide into 2 groups of est. 4 to 6 at each shelter/ 8 to 12 total)
  • Spread 10 yards of mulch (not 100 as we were previously told) in two different playground areas… includes shoveling mulch from a pile into wheelbarrows, transport to low areas and then spreading with pitchforks (est. split into 2 groups of 3 to 4 each = 6 to 8 total)
  • Litter  pick up and light weeding around high traffic areas, including near shelters/ pool area/ basketball courts and playgrounds (est. 4 to 8 people/ depends upon # available and timing of finishing some of the above).
